While I may look like a 30-something father of two with every so slightly greying hair, in my head I haven't changed in over ten years. You're only as old as you act, because I feel damn old sometimes. My gaming tastes can be best described as 'ravenous' and 'indiscriminate,' though I have found that bad reviews are much more fun to write then good ones, which seems to lead me to the bottom of the barrel.

A glimpse into the future reveals that you’re going to kick the bucket in one month. What do you do until then?
There are many places that I would like to see but haven’t, because they are either far too expensive or just too dangerous. That being said, if I suddenly had nothing to lose, I would travel as much as possible. I want to see Stonehenge, the Great Wall of China, the Egyptian pyramids, and the leaning tower of Piza. I want to pass out in an Irish bar. I want to go to hang gliding off the slopes of Mt. Everest (which would be the last thing, of course) You name it, I would see as much as I could before I kicked off.

You’re on death row for killing gaming journalism. What’s your last meal?
There is an Italian restaurant that I have not been to since I was a child called DiMarini’s. The chairs were uncomfortable, none of the glasses matched, and it was always smoky, but they had the best pizza I have ever had; it included giant chunks of sausage from the meat packing plant right next door. That and a six pack of Guinness, and I would be set. On the other hand, I figure I would get a medal for killing gaming journalism as it sits now, rather than a death sentence, so the pizza could be my reward instead of my last meal.

Favorite TV / movie / game character and why?
It’s a tie between Red Foreman from That ’70s Show and Kain from the Legacy of Kain series. Red Foreman, because I can totally see myself threatening my son with wearing his ass for a hat when gets older, and Kain simply because he is an incredible villain. He put up with Razeal’s whining over the course of several games, only to suck him back into the soul reaver. Everything planned, everything perfect, everything evil and self-serving. (Where’s my sequel to Defiance, jerks?)

We all know you’re a big softy, so which movie or song or whatever brought a tear to your beautiful eyes?
I will admit to two. There were no witnesses, and yes, I do have beautiful eyes. For some reason, the Firebird Suite from Fantasia 2000 always gets me. I don’t know why, but by the end of it, I am blinking really fast and pretending I have something in my eye. The other is the ending of Eternal Sonata, an above-average JRPG on the 360 that no one played. It has a very bittersweet ending that I will not spoil; suffice it to say that there is something very sad about playing a piano in a field of flowers.

Tell us about your best birthday ever.
There was a severe hail storm on the day of one of my late grade school/early high school birthdays; inch sized hail that covered the ground and dented a lot of cars. It was still warm out, so instead of complaining about it, my brother and I broke out badminton rackets and launched the hailstones back and forth at each other. I don’t even remember what I got, aside from bruises, but it was fun.
