Sorry dudes, but the license for the forums expires tomorrow and vBulletin doesn't seem to want me to renew the license.
Their purchasing system is somehow only allowing people to upgrade, and I'm not spending $200 to upgrade the forums that no one uses. It's been fun, but it has to end. I've got other projects anyways. |

If I had to describe it, I'd say it closest resembles something like Gizmodo/Lifehacker, except the scope isn't as limited.
The content gets put into three main categories: editorials, reviews, and how to's. Editorials can be about pretty much anything from Facebook to atheism to some kind of scientific theory. Reviews would be about pretty much anything like books, films, video games, et cetera. And definitely not just new, but old (almost preferred). Kind of similar to the SP where were we when... reviews. And no rankings, just text. How to's are useful guides to doing anything and everything. How to build a computer from scratch, the best way to save money, and so forth. Still lots of development left in terms of how content should work and such. I'm also going to be looking for people to write and contribute where they have expertise. Right now I'm just finishing up the actual site. I have a lot of the design done and I'm just finishing up the commenting system. Now I just need to install Vanilla 2 and bridge it to WordPress so there's a single sign-on for both. No more pricey, bloated forum software! |
