What’s your favorite holiday, and why?
Christmas, definitely. There’s something about the cold air (we haven’t had a white Christmas here in years) and bleak weather that puts me in the mood to build relationship with my family. Sure, I could curl up with a warm drink and a good book, but spending time with loved ones is infinitely more comforting. That, and come the 25th, I won’t have to buy socks for about six months.
What is your most anticipated (announced, unofficial, or just a day-dream) video game?
That’s a hard question, but Fallout 3 is the one game I’m looking forward to most. There’s one part curiosity, two parts excitement, and three parts disappointment. I’m curious to see if Bethesda has enough personality for the Fallout franchise; if the NPCs are as bland as they were in The Elder Scrolls IV, you’re going to have a ton of angry emails heading your way. But I’m excited (and relieved) the franchise went to a studio as seasoned as Bethesda. After Brotherhood of Steel, the only direction this series can go is up. But at the same time, I’m disappointed. Not so much with Bethesda, but I, like most RPG fans, wish Black Isle Studios was still around to tell the third full story in the Fallout universe.
Who’s your role model?
As a young man, my role model, my goddamn hero was Abraham Lincoln. That may seem weird coming from a six-year-old, especially a Canadian, but I was always fond of him. He was a man of integrity, tact, and compassion. He also had an awesome hat. Have you seen the size of that thing? It was really tall. Super tall.
What is your favorite swear word?
“Fuck.” It may be the Honda of curse words, but I don’t consider that a bad thing. It’s got mileage. Plus, it’s the one my parents never allowed me to say, and the only one I could be sent to detention for in Elementary School. It’s the mother of all curse words. Nothing short of a racial slur can top the controversy “fuck” causes.
Who would win in a fight between a werewolf and a vampire?
This question is impossible to answer; there’s far too many variables. Does the vampire have access to a gun with silver bullets? Is there running water anywhere near their location? And stakes, what about stakes? Stakes can be made out of damn near anything, unless you’re in the desert, or the arctic. A time limit is something else we have to consider. If there’s no time limit, the vampire is given a strong advantage. Eventually, he would just attack the werewolf in his human form. This is assuming we’re talking about a world that has not been plunged into perpetual twilight, however.
